Klipto Binder

By kalbinwhy, 20 March, 2009
Description

The covers & the binding are made of wood. The wood covers is covered by cloth. The binding is held together by 1/4inch-thick rope. Inside pages are paper. The thickness of the book is adjustable & the pages are removable. The rope that holds the binding together is attached to a belt/lock system that allows you to take it apart to add or remove pages. Inside the back cover is a metal lock that holds the belt, which is attached to the rope that holds the binding. Inscribed in the metal of the lock is "PATD.DEC. 28 1920". There is a metal clasp on the end of the belt that has an inscription of "qUmSd". I'm not able to upload pictures of it, but if you go to the us patent website, you can see the blueprint drawing of a VERY similar book. The only difference I found is the one in the drawing has 4 ropes in the binding, and the book I have has only 2 ropes in the binding. But the pages in the book that I have look as though they were made for a book with 4 ropes. The pages in the book that I have are for somekind of bookkeeping or accounting. Each page in the book have a mark that says "Form N1-D" alongside a small logo that reads "Wilson-Jones DeLUXE Loose Leaf Systems". Also, each page shows "MADE IN U.S.A.".
