MY wife's grandfather bought these vases in NYC during the 1920's. They are 12" high, 8 3/4"
wide and the base is 4 3/8" wide. They have been is our family ever since. Any help will be much appreciated in identifiying them. The dragons are less than perfect as the gold is worn olff in
places, and there is a chip on one of the dragon ears.
It appears to be white clay that they are made from.
Each vase figures are 1 female and two male on one side and one male on the other.
As near as I can tell they are from the Meiji period (late 1800's thru 1912)
I checked a lot of websites and have not seen any like these.
