Japanese Mugs, gold nude figurine

By Jaxrwild, 29 March, 2017
Description

Two Japanese mugs in excellent condition, no chips or cracks.  The ivory glaze shows green and rose when the light reflects off it and has crackling in the finish. The rim and the base are gold as is the nude figurine handle. Each mug is 6 3/4 inch high by 3 inches wide not including handle.  One mug is slightly larger than the other. There are two symbols imprinted on the bottom.
Photos attached.
Thank you.

Re: Japanese Mugs, gold nude figurine

Is it remotely possible the apparent Japanese characters on the base are in fact 22/6, or 11/6 underlined, when you turn the base around? Something about the figurines seems a bit Art Deco to me as do the size of the mugs. Or do you have more reasons other than characters on the base for saying Japanese?
