Hammacher Schlemmer-The Original Jumbo Dial By The Ohio Thermometer Co.

Description

This (i belilive a 1969)Hammacher Schlemmer Thermometer Clock outdoor-18 oinch across metal back with plastic domed cover with thermometer around edge of dial from about 3:00 to 9:00 & above about 6 inches across a black c lock face both wqith Red hands.4 Birds on a tree located in the middel half hidden by clock are arranged around clock -Red Finch left hand corner,a bluebird in right hjand corner -left bottom side is aBluejay & right bottom corner is a cardinal- found in parents attic in box unopened- but clock nor thermometer work but otherwise slight rust on back and aluiminum edge around entire dial is alittlepitted(live near ocean)Hammacher Schlemmer declares that their LIFETIME warraunty is no good unless a reciept is given..but it was a gift & will have to take that up with them.Want to know if this is worth anything 7 if fixable with replacemennt clock motor(runs on a D battery)& thermometer spring in back of item?

Is this worth pursuing?Should try to find replacement parts?Also on motor in back is small dial on plastic that is about an inch across round with F at about 9:00 & S at 3:00? Fast & Slow ? Has a very small black hand in it that can move hands around dial with very smaLL  SLOTTED SCREW DRIVER
