Framed Bear Bryant, historic and rare tickets and cross stich of THE COACH

By philhaun410, 19 July, 2013
Description

The unique piece is a 24 X17, professionally framed and matted display of  3 UNUSED TICKETS from Bryants 314th win over Penn Stae, his record breaking win in the Iron Bowl over Auburn and lhe third is from his final 323rd Liberty Bowl Victory. ALL WERE SELLOUTS, VERY RARE! A fantastic cross stitched image of Coach Bryant occupies  the top 2/3 of the item. It is framed and matted in crimson

Also as highlights are front and back placement of his "I ain't nothing but a winner" coins.

The tickets are genuine and in good shape. They have faded a little over the 31 years since it was framed, but still good/excellent condition.

DEFINITLY ONE OF A KIND!

History
I was a dvvepartment manager at The Tuscaloosa News and got tickets from the paper for the Auburn game. I got (or discovered is a better word) the Iron Bowl ticket at the game, Late in the game I was standing after a Tide score and happened to look down. It was lying on the concrete with the late game debris on the concourse. What a find!

That was the item that started the idea. I had four tickets for the Penn State game. I was going to drive north and go to the game with my father and brother-in-law, but I COULDN'T MAKE IT. My father and brother-in-law did go, but I had the other 2. I realized that the history of the first two tickets was fantastic so I purchased 2 for the Liberty Bowl.

That was the unusual start to a fantastic collection.
