Famous and Barr Antique Wardrobe

By iammeiamfree, 9 August, 2014
Description

I can make out, what appears to be like a charcoal looking black stamp- the words - "Famous and Barr co   - St. Louis, MO, and also has since faded away some-  stamped on the back "Made Exclusively for Macy's" and there is some other writing that is too faded in an area and I'm unable to make out all the letters or the complete words.

The wardrobe comes apart can be easily broken down into several pieces, but because of its age it is starting to fall apart. There are several metal pieces that go into slots that actually lock the different wood pieces/sections into place.  The original metal coat hanger still exist inside.

I couldnt find anything online about Famouns and Barr furniture that was made Exclusively for Macys. I know it is very old,  please help with any additional info and possible appraisal! Thank you !!
