Emile Galle Stained Glass Dragonfly Table lamp

Description

I found this Round Table lamp Bronze with Stained Glass, with Dragonfly's it also

has a signature of someone Emile Galle? this was found at an estate sale I purchased this about 5 years ago

I know nothing about this lamp  it has 3 Bronze Dragonflys around the lamp and 1 dragonfly on the top

 

it has 3 stained glass Dragonflys within the design

I'd say it's a fairly modern fake, Galle never made a lamp that looked anything like it. There is a pile of Fake galle pieces all over the market, made in eastern europe and china.

Actually Galle DID work in stained glass early in his career and did in fact make lamps such as the one above. I have one that was appraised by Sotheby's 20 years ago. Value was at that time between 40 and 60 thousand.

The one above does look like a nice reproduction though as it does not care the patina that one should show nor does it have the intricate metal work of his very early pieces.
