Drop Leaf Dining Table with 5 Chairs. Leather upholstery, dark wood, palm leaf carving

By hermosa10000, 24 May, 2009
Description

A very old and gorgeous table. This item was given to my sister by an elderly friend. The table has place for a leaf, but the leaf is not present. The mechanics to remove the leaf are still present and working. There was a matching hutch as well, but I no longer have that. There are 5 chairs remaining, one of which is a captain's chair. All pieces are very sturdy and extremely well made. The arms of the captain's chair are a little loose. The chairs were covered at some point with green fabric. I removed it from one of the chairs and found what looks to be original leather in awesome condition. There are no broken places, crack or repairs that I can find anywhere on the table or chairs. If you have any questions or need more information, please let me know. I wish I had more information, but I don't. This is a brilliant community of antique lovers and I look forward to your input. This is for sale in Houston, TX at my sister's home. Thanks so much!
