iam not really sure what this called. the wood looks like walnut, if anyone can help identrify it and give me a idea of its value i wood greatly appreciate it.
You'll need to put up some better images to properly identify this piece. The style is American Empire, which went through two periods of popularity, the first 1815-40, the second 1890-1910. The originals tend to have all hand cut joints on the drawers, the later reproductions have machine made dovetail joints on the drawers.
