Ceramic Rooster

By margo121, 20 August, 2018
Description

This is a multi-colored vintage ceramic statue of a rooster.  I believe it is from the 1930.s.  It is approxiamately 18 inches in tall.  The bottom reads: Cemar 568.

If anyone knows anything about it, like where it was made and it's value I would appreciate hearing from them.

Thank you.

Re: Ceramic Rooster

I have no idea of it's value.  If someone would like to make me an offer I might consider selling.

Re: Ceramic Rooster

Cemar was a California pottery operating between 1935 and 1955. Cemar's art pottery products, including tableware, are sought-after collectables today. Most of these potteries thrived during WW2 because all their competition from Japan was blocked during the War and only made inroads in the 1950's. We'd retail one for about $150.00.
