Brass and Glass Footed Item

By chipnbev, 12 January, 2009
Description

Brass box with six sides that have amber glass inserts.  Also hinged top is round with amber glass insert.  Inside bottom is tufted cloth.  Outside between glass panels are semi-nude boys made of brass.

What is this item called?  What is it used for?  When was it made?  Where was it made?  How much is it worth?  Any info would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Re: Brass and Glass Footed Item

This looks like an ormolu or amber glass dresser box. Here's a site that I've seen one on. Maybe this will help with researching this box.
