Antique Wooden Love Seat

By TankU2, 22 February, 2017
Description

Antique or old wooden loveseat bench.   There are no markings on this piece as to the maker or original.  This bench belonged to my parents.  I am not sure if it was passed down on my mom's side of the family but I believe it was my grandparents.   In very good condition.  The are a few very minor scuffs that can be corrected easily with stain.  They are not real noticable.

Re: Antique Wooden Love Seat

Your loveseat dates from the turn of the 19th Century, similar items could be found in 1890's mail order catalogs, which at the time called its design "Fancy French". Demand for furniture like this last peaked in the early 1990's and has been in decline since that time. Examples like this now often go at auction for about $150.00.
