Description
Settee of what seems to be roccoco or Louis XV. Carved and gilt with double oval back. My guess is around 1880-1900. Frame is all original in good condition of some type of hard wood. It is carved in some type of rope and floral fashion with what appears to be horns of plenty. Set on 6 Legs. Finish appears to be original may be Blanc de Plomb with gilting on all raised areas. Renovated on 7/11/58 by Assael Upholstery of Bronx, NY. Uphostery is mauve floral with some fading but in good condition with no rips or tears. Cushion has inner case which is down filled and may be original. Oval back cushions are 18 in h by 16 wide and tufted in 16 places per cushion.
