Antique Merringdale, Chippendale style dining room furniture by Berkey and Gay

Meringdale Suite designed from Chippendale pieces as noted in original documentation

Table with 3 leaves, 5 Side Chairs and 1 King Armchair & China Cabinet

Tabletop is distinguished by perfectly fan matched walnut with hand carved legs and apron with burled English Elm which is matched in the chair backs and front of China Cabinet,  The 44 in x 62 in table, extends to 8 feet by 3 leaves.  Underside of table branded with suite number 2751 and inlaid gold Shopmark coin "Berkey & Gay Furniture trademark" stamp.

The China Cabinet is defined by a beautifully formed centered crown and hand carvings divided by a figured band of English Elm burl with Crotch Walnut above and below.  Walnut is used for all structural parts and mahogany in drawer.  The glass door fronts are outlined in graceful crown shaped design of walnut which is matched in the chair backs.  There is generous use of beautiful hand carvings throughout the china cabinet, table and chairs. "Berkey & Gay Furniture trademark" gold Shopmark coin inlaid inside of china cabinet drawer.

Theses are beautiful well maintained furniture pieces with original documentation also bearing suite #2751 on the backside.
