History
I live in the northern Michigan region and do large scale comercial recycling and found this item in the woods during a clean up job. I found another with it but it has no markings and is of a different design.

Interesting find! Does the top unscrew?

3A Marine indicates it to be made for water craft 40 to 65 feet in length. So it's a marine fire fighting nozzle.

I am assuming you meant 8 inches (") not 8 feet (') long. and the top opening appears to be about 1" or 3/4" not 2" as you indicted. It looks like a 'straight stream' nozzle - meaning it puts out a stream like a garden hose, going for the distance. That makes sense given what I believe it is.

I couldn't find the manufacturer name "fognozl of Canada" but have heard the name before. I suspect it's WWII or later vintage.

What I believe you have, is one of the fire fighting nozzles from a harbor fire boat such as the one here:

An interesting piece, particularly if you can find more history on where it might have come from.

I'd suggest that it's auction value is somewhere between $70 and $250 depending on the interested bidders. It would probably go up with additional information on the boat it came from.
