Antique Decoy Duck

Description

When my grandfather passed away he left me a box of his belongs with some random effects. Inside was this Decoy Duck, I remember him telling me long ago that is was valuable, but he didn't tell me how old it was, where he got it from, or who made it. It doesn't seem to have any identifying markings at all.

It's made of a very light wood that I can't identify, there's also a thin sheet of fabric that the feathers are drawn onto that may be leather.
Distinguishing marks
No signatures or emblems, the only mark out of the place is a black nail on the right side of the neck.

The body is 11 inches long, and the height is 7 inches from the top of the head.

unknown as i don't own a scale.
History
It belonged to my grandfather, he may have used it to hunt, but I do not know for certain.
