82-82 76ers Championship Autographed Starter Ball

Description

This starter ball was donated by Billy Cunningham to Hamilton Hospital now Robert Wood Johnson in Hamilton, NJ to be auctioned off for charity at their annual Festival.Signed by Andrew Toney, Julius Dr J Erving, Lionel Hollins, Clint Richardson, Bobby Jones, Stu Mix, Mike Banton, Jack McMahon Pat Williams, Matt Guokas, Bill Cunningham, Maurice Cheeks and Earl Cureton. The starting team that year was Daryl Dawkins- Caldwell Jones- Julius Erving- Moses Malone- Maurice Cheeks- Bobby Jones. It is a starter ball and the signatures are in excellant condition as is the ball itself.

$400-600 is what I would expect the ball to fetch. The spots market can really be all over the place, however, so you really never know which way it will go.

The prices quoted above are what I beliuve it would go for at a no reserve auction. If you were to list it for retail sale, $750-1000 may be more in the area. It's certainly a great historical piece the question is just how much is someone willing to pay for it in today's market with the unique story behing the piece?
