This is a Lane Cedar chest in Excellent to Mint condition.
All of the original paperwork (including $250 guarantee) is included. All of the veneer is in perfect condition with almost no wear. The legs show slight wear.
We found an advertisement online for the exact chest from Oct. 1951. It shows a couple sitting next to the chest. (Christmas advertisement)
