By exitvisa, 3 January, 2009
Description

Two photos of the Elevator Manufacturers Association.

Photo 1 - Says "1st Annual Banquet Elevator Manf. Assocition Hotel Stratford, Chicago, April 19, 1919" in white handwritten letters along middle bottom of photo.  Left corner of photo in smaller white handwritten letter says "Kaufmann & Fabry Co., Chicago 19-4388.  Photo has a 2.5" mat all around with two silver/grey bands closest to the photo.  Mat has Kaifmann & Fabry Co., Chicago logo in same silver/grey color in bottom left corner.  Frame is 1" wood frame with glass.  Photo depicts say 100 members of the association sitting at a banquet table all dressed in tuxes.  Some of the people in the photo are historical elevator manufacturing people.

Photo 2 - Says "Elevator Manufacturers Assocation of U.S., Drake Hotel, Chicago Oct. 1921" in white handwritten letters along middle bottom of photo.  Left corner of photo in smaller white handwritten letter says "Kaufmann & Fabry Co., Chicago 21-4802.  Frame is 0.75" wood frame with glass.  Photo depicts 52 members of the association sitting or standing in front of a building all dressed in suits and ties.  Some of the people in the photo are historical elevator manufacturing people.

I have found out so far that the Kaufmann & Fabry Co. photographed the Chicago Worlds Fair.

Only Photo 2 is shown in the pictures below.
