Best I can tell is this piece was manufactured in the 1880's. For this piece to be almost 130 yrs old I would say it's in pretty good shape. I have 1 Article that I found about the Original Makers and a picture of their Original Building that opened in 1881 in St. Louis, it was found in a book written in 1887 by John W. Leonard titled The Industries of St. Louis. J.R. Webber and Company is found on page 89. Does anyone know if these were mass produced or are they each one an individual piece? All I can do is find other similar pieces and none have the same price and none are identicle to this one. And does anyone know the reason for all of the scribing of plants, flowers, etc that are on most of these? Any information would be greatly appreciated. "It has now been over 6 weeks since I posted this, Has anyone found anything more on this piece yet?" Thank You
