1839 Velvet & Silk tapestry 9 ft by 4 ft

By thinkofthelily, 11 August, 2016
Description

I have been trying to identify this beautiful silk tapestry for a few years now. It's about 9 ft long and 4 ft wide, stamped something like Silbet or Sidtet or Sibtet or Silset Art New York on the back. In impeccable shape for being nearly 200 years old. It has tab tops for hanging. At the bottom of the black velvet frame, it is embroidered 1840. The outlines are traced in some sort of paint that is like "puffy" paint. The face details are painted but it flat.
Several years ago I found her perfect twin, albeit in much worse condition, for sale on eBay. I regret not buying it and owning the pair.
Thanks in advance for any knowledge you could share :)
Kind regards from Ohio
Brandi
