Accurate Description of Item
One Chittenden and Eastman Co. Colonial Revival Style China Cabinet
Appraiser Remarks
Based on the images this piece dates from the second quarter of the 20th Century and is in the Colonial Revival style. The Chittenden and Eastman Co. is still in operation, the company primarily known for it`s mattresses and bedding. Chittenden & Eastman prides itself on being one of the world's oldest continuously owned furniture companies. Indeed, the company dates back to 1866, when Andrew Johnson was president of the United States and the nation had scarcely entered the Reconstruction period following the Civil War.

Demand for furniture in this style last peaked in the 1990`s, demand and values have fallen off a great deal since that time. Currently comparable pieces often sell for less than $600.00.
