Antique Brass with Cone Glass Vase

Profile picture for user Lovejoy
By Lovejoy, 17 July, 2017
Accurate Description of Item
One Late 19th Century Epergne
Appraiser Remarks
What you have is called a 'Epergne' . Based on your images, your Epergne dates from the last quarter of the 19th Century and is most likely English. There were a great number of English glassmakers producing cut glass like this during the late Victorian era. The better pieces would have had Sterling silver mounts and pedestal, unmarked examples tended to be silver plated, bronze or brass.

Values for Victorian Epergne's last peaked in the late 1980's and have been in decline since that time, in the current market a comparable one to this would retail for about $100.00 $135.00
Estimated Value
$100.00 $135.00
