Drexel Travis Court Twin Cherry Wood Sleigh Bed

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

This is a very pretty and graceful twin sleigh bed. It is in good condition, made of cherry wood. On the back of the headboard is stamped DREXEL TRAVIS COURT GROUP and some numbers. I have had it for 15 years. I bought it for my teenage daughter. She doesn't want it for her daughter and I haven't room for it. I want to know how much it is worth. I put it up in my living room in order to take the pictures, then immediately took it down again.

Decorated 2 gallon ovoid stoneware Gin jug

Category
Pottery
Condition
Excellent
Description

Very unusual decoration, I've never seen a jug quite like this before. Condition is very very good, there is one small chip on the lip which you can see in the pictures, small amount of roughness around edge of base. No cracks, no hairlines or crazing, body is solid, handle is perfect, no repairs.

Asian Statues - Emperor and Empress Set (2 Pieces)

Category
Asian Art
Condition
Excellent
Description

Two statues (doubtful to be bookends) appear to be hand carved.  There are two asisan characters below their feet on the front (unsure what the characters mean) that are the same, so I doubt it says "king and queen" or anything of that nature.  Both words appear to be handwritten because there are apparent differences.  The "Emperor" is wearing a hat with a ball on top, sporting a traditional goatee - sitting on a throne covered with dragons and flowers.  He's holding a long set of beads in his left hand.  His garments are covered in dragons.  It also appears he's wearing some type of cape.  The "Empress" wears the same style hat with the ball on top and a long set of beads.  Instead of dragons, her throne is covered with Eagles and flowers and her dress is covered in flowers.  She holds a feather in her right hand.  Both statues have the same carving on the back "PAT."

China Hutch

Category
European Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

This is a family heirloom from Germany.  It has been in the family at least 150 years, but I'm not sure the exact date when it was built.  It was built by an individual, so there are no company markings or signature.  The inside of the fold-out desk is the only part of the piece were nails were used.  The rest was built using notches and wedges.  I'm not really interested in selling it, but I would like to know if it is worth anything.
