5 gallon Sterling oil can

Profile picture for user Lovejoy
By Lovejoy, 27 July, 2018
Accurate Description of Item
One 1930's 5 gallon Sterling Oil Can
Appraiser Remarks
Sterling became part of Quaker State in 1931, along with 18 other companies, the Sterling name was retained for a while on it's less expensive line of gas and lubricants. Collectors for petroleum related advertising and collectibles are a strong group and values can be high for earlier and unusual items items.
The market has slumped somewhat in recent years due to some older collectors downsizing and clearing their collections. We would suggest a value for your oil can in the $275.00- $375.00 range.
Estimated Value
$275.00- $375.00
